Carpenter Beach built us a beautiful custom home in the Shenandoah Valley. It was a complex project, and they dealt with that complexity very well.
I found the team from top to bottom to be skilled, of high integrity, communicative throughout the process, and willing to go the extra mile to achieve our vision and needs. Charlie was always available to discuss issues and responded timely to requests for calls or information needed by others involved in the project. He worked very well with our architect and designer and took personal initiative to discuss questions or unexpected issues directly with them. This level of collaboration was important for our project and was a key factor in its successful completion.
The quality of the workmanship met our high expectations. There were only a few occasions where a subcontractor’s work was an issue (painting comes to mind), and when we brought it to their attention, it was rectified without debate and extra billing discussions. We were extremely satisfied with the project when it was completed. The way I think about it is that I would not hesitate to hire them again to build our home.
