Carpenter Beach built us a beautiful custom home in the Shenandoah Valley. It was a complex project, and they dealt with that complexity very well. 

I found the team from top to bottom to be skilled, of high integrity, communicative throughout the process, and willing to go the extra mile to achieve our vision and needs. Charlie was always available to discuss issues and responded timely to requests for calls or information needed by others involved in the project. He worked very well with our architect and designer and took personal initiative to discuss questions or unexpected issues directly with them. This level of collaboration was important for our project and was a key factor in its successful completion. 

The quality of the workmanship met our high expectations. There were only a few occasions where a subcontractor’s work was an issue (painting comes to mind), and when we brought it to their attention, it was rectified without debate and extra billing discussions. We were extremely satisfied with the project when it was completed. The way I think about it is that I would not hesitate to hire them again to build our home.

We had Carpenter Beach finish an 1100+\- sq. ft. space in our basement, installing a full bathroom, small wet bar, bedroom, laundry, and living space. The project quality exceeded our expectations. 

Even after the final payment was made, they sent their crews to fix a few minor issues to make the project right. The workers they send are people you feel comfortable having in your home and around your family. 

They didn’t design our project, but worked with us to change small details on the fly and let us know what would impact the final cost almost immediately. Very flexible, and beyond fair when it comes to money. Their project managers might not always be immediately available to the phone, but were good at getting back to you the same day. I would definitely give them the opportunity to work on future projects I have.

We truly found a building partner with Carpenter Beach Construction. They not only gave us what we wanted; they also showed us what could be possible with ideas within our budget that we hadn’t even thought of before. They were flexible, extremely hard-working, and they got the job done beautifully—within our budget and within an impossible deadline.

Carpenter Beach is always there for me, whatever the latest building project or household crisis is. Their work is consistently high quality and reasonably priced. They are a pleasure to work with and have in my home. Their eco-friendly approach to projects is also highly admirable.

When delays occurred due to elements of the design process, you were patient and accommodating. Further, my foreman, Gary Bowlin, was not only kind and easy to work with, but also an excellent problem solver, readily coming up with solutions to anything that had not been foreseen, as happens, especially in an old home.

The beautiful quarter-sawn white oak floor that you sourced and installed is truly the icing on the cake. When we found the existing flooring to be unacceptable, you went to great lengths to find flooring that matched the rest I my historic home, and I am so grateful for your efforts. 

Carpenter Beach’s employees are all polite and accommodating, and their skills and professionalism are impressive. They know how to deal with old houses! I’m very happy with my decision to work with Carpenter Beach. I have a high regard for your company, and I would highly recommend it to others.
